Upgraded to AS366GA standard at The Aviation Logistics Center (ALC), Elizabeth City, NC.

Operated by the United States Coast Guard as an HH-65C by 2008.

Crashed 4/9/08 off Honolulu, Hawaii. Whilst conducting a training exercise

with a lifeboat, the winch became caught on the boat and snapped, damaging

the rotor system of the helicopter, which after a short while ditched with

the sad loss of all four onboard.

Wreckage recovered and taken to Hickam AFB, and later to Elizabeth City.
